What's the difference between a permission preset and a work role?
Permission presets control what someone can do in Inside. Work roles control which shifts they can work.
- A permission preset controls access to Inside itself, such as whether someone can approve requests or open payroll.
- A work role is the job someone does on a shift, such as cashier or supervisor. It decides which shifts they're eligible for.
A supervisor might have a supervisor work role and a manager permission preset, but the two are set separately.
