How a casual request moves from request to pay

Follow a casual shift through Inside: create the request, approve it, share it with sources, fill it, work the shift, confirm the timesheet and settle pay.

Availability: This feature is only enabled for some organisations or depends on how your organisation is set up. If you can't see it, ask your Inside administrator.

  1. Create a request for a role, dates, times and number of workers. See Create a casual request.
  2. Approve it, if your outlet's rules need approval. See Approve a casual request.
  3. Share it with sources according to its allocation. Agencies see the request only after it's approved.
  4. Fill it by accepting offers, assigning workers or letting agencies supply workers. See Fill a casual request.
  5. Work the shift. Workers clock in and out, or a manager scans their QR code.
  6. Confirm the casual timesheet. See Review and confirm casual timesheets.
  7. Settle pay in casual payroll. See Settle casual payroll.

A request can also end without being worked: it may expire, be rejected or be cancelled.
